Yes, we are having so much fun that I have forgotten to post pictures for you! OH NO!
We took the girls to the fair. We did not take the camera. We did take cys phone. So, I have a bunch of pictures and videos being held hostage on cys phone.
That's ok. All you need to know is that we got a super cute fish named Hawky. Sadly enough he didnt make it. I think I was more excited about Hawky than Charlotte. No worries. We have since replaced him with a pet catepillar. The catepillar eats a ton and is getting all fat and ugly. I check every morning for a transformation...but he is still just a hungry catepillar.
I could stare at this picture all day. She is seriously so stinkin' cute that I want to bite her toes off.
We went to a BBQ for Cy's cousin Beth at GiGi and Papa's house. Awesomely enough, Cy's uncle is a fireman and he came from work..with the truck and some friends. This seriously made Lottie's day..as if you couldn't tell that from the pictures below!
There is an after school program at Lottie's school called "Power Play" where the kids do gymnastics and tumbling. Charlotte has been telling us about how she wants to do power play for some time now. I think she knows about Oprah and the power of The Secret because it usually went like this, "when I do power play I am going to have so much fun" or "In power play, I will wear the red power play shirt". So, Lottie started Power Play...and got to wear the red shirt.
My cousin Matty with the bean. He made the mistake of spinning her once in circles. So, he had to do this several times after that. Im sure his arms were tired!
The girls. I like this picture because Claire looks like a little chunker. Another reason to bite her feet and squeeze her chubs. It's no wonder Lottie wants to squeeze her so tight all the time! Note the little blue sticker. Lottie put that on Claire because "she went peeps". Not quite using the toilet, but Lottie was proud of her and felt the sticker was needed.
I am back at work now. I really enjoyed my maternity leave but I am strangely happy to be working. I miss my girls really bad during the day. I keep tons of pictures on my phone so I can stare at them but look like I am doing something important or urgent. Ok, sorry for the long post but it was needed after a month of fun!
Claire has grown so much already.
I am loving every moment I have with her (yes, even the screaming pooping ones too).
She has become very aware of her surroundings.
Her favorite thing is the mobile in her crib.
She kicks and waves her arms around while letting out the occasional coo. Damn it's cute!
Here she is in her chair staring at toys. Its funny because I think we have the same picture of charlotte!
EEEEEK! Scary flying monster!
Bundle of cuteness
Some smiles
A lot of people ask me how the bean is adjusting to baby Claire.
She is doing fine...no regression at all!
Lottie really loves her sister. She has so much love for her that sometimes she can be a little too loving.
Sorry for the extended break between posts.
I have learned why there are never picts of the second child....you have your hands full with two kids when do you find time to pick up a camera!?!?
At least, that's my excuse!
So, here is a TON of picts of what we have been doing over the last few weeks. Enjoy!
Big sister Charlotte (aka "the Bean") with Claire (aka "the Peanut").
Spending those hot days outside in the pool with a popsicle!
Charlotte has been super funny lately. She has a seriously hilarious imagination. Here she is off to "costco to go shopping for dog food"
Cy's friend Scott came over to take pictures of Claire. They turned out AMAZING. I plan on sending them out in our announcements...so you will see the finished product soon enough! In the meantime, here is a pic I took of Linea (Scott's daughter) and Charlotte while Scott was setting up his "studio" gear.
Mother's Day! YAY! Cy bought me this very awesome necklace with a mama bird and her two baby birds.
He also organized a picnic at the park. It was a very nice and relaxing afternoon.
As I lounged on the picnic blanket, Lottie and Cy went to fly a kite.
Dancing Bean!!
Lottie and Claire got these cute red dresses from Cy's grandma. They arrived in the mail...Charlotte was so excited about it that she had to wear it immediatly. Once she had it on, she did a little dance.
Bath time! Baby Claire getting a bath on the kitchen counter.
She is so relaxed!!!
My sis in law, Annie, had her baby on Mother's Day! We went for a road trip up to Paso Robles to visit Deb and Dave and see baby Finn! Sadly enough I only took a few pictures on our trip (recall my lack of picture taking comment above). Here is one picture I did take. Cy and Lottie played on the slip and slide. It was cute. Charlotte only wanted to go on her daddy's back!
The girls did great on the road trip. Charlotte's potty training has been awesome. She has not regressed and even wears underwear at night! The funniest (but not funny) part of the trip was when we were in bumper to bumper traffic in Compton and Charlotte tells us she has to go poop. Lucky for us, she held it until we got home!
Yay for the new baby!!!
We had a planned c-section for Saturday May 2nd. Well, this little one did not want to wait.
So, wednesday night (thursday morning) at 3am I went into labor. Since this was a little different than my experience with Charlotte (my water broke) I was not really sure if it was "real" labor or not. About 6 am I realized..WHOA this is happening for real!. I managed to hold it together long enough to allow Cy to sleep in until about 7 am and to get charlotte off to school.
Off to the hospital where we did the c-section.
Baby Claire was born at 11:13am
6 pounds 15 ounces
Length 19 inches
Here are some baby tummy picts that i hadnt posted yet....Lottie loved her sister even before she was born!
OMG, I miss Mimi's girls!! It hurts. Such wonderful photos of the girls and of the daddy too. read more
